1Overview
Sound Scheduler ("the App") is a free Android application that lets you automatically switch sound profiles and volume levels on a schedule. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is used.
2Data We Collect
The App does not collect or transmit any personal information. No accounts are required. No data is sent to external servers by us.
All data created by the App — including your sound profiles, schedules, and activity logs — is stored locally on your device using an on-device database (SQLite via Room) and Android SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device.
3Permissions Used
The App requests the following Android permissions, each used solely to deliver core functionality:
ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICYRequired to read and change the Do Not Disturb (DND) mode on your device as part of a sound profile.POST_NOTIFICATIONSUsed to send you a local notification when a schedule starts or ends (e.g., "Profile switched to Meeting"). No notification data is sent externally.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARMAllows the App to trigger profile switches at the exact times you configure.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETEDAllows the App to re-register your scheduled alarms after your device restarts, so schedules continue to work reliably.
None of these permissions are used to collect personal data.
4Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect certain information from your device to serve relevant ads, including device identifiers and usage data, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
5Data Retention and Deletion
All App data (profiles, schedules, logs) is stored only on your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing the App's data (Settings → Apps → Sound Scheduler → Clear Data) or by uninstalling the App.
6Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
